Found in Queensland and New South Wales on forested slopes and ridges on rocky hills at elevations of 350 to 800 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of 6 to 9 leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long, 1 to 9 flowered inflorescence
