Common Name The Conical Pterostylis - In Australia The Tall Snail Orchid

Flower Size .64 to .8" [1.6 to 2 cm]

Found in southwestern Western Australia in coastal winter wet swamps in wet peaty soils at elevations of 5 to 100 meters as a mini-miniature to medium sized cold growing terrestrial orchid with a basal, loose rosette of dull green, stalked leaves scattered up the stem that blooms in the Australian winter and earlier spring with an erect, 4 to 14" [10 to 35 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
