Found in Queensland and coastal New South Wales, Australia at elevations of 100 to 500 meters in montane open forest on shady slopes as a small to just medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of dark green, wavy margined leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, 8 to 14" [120 to 35 cm] long single flowered inflorescence
