Found in Tasmania in wet sclerophyll, tall open and rain forests at elevations of 50 to 800 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a basal, loose to scattered rosette of dark green, fleshy, flat leaves that blooms in the Australian springwith an erect, 3.2 to 10" [8 to 25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
