Found in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, Australia at elevations of 200 to 700 meters in open Mallee scrublands, open forests in shallow well drained soils, as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 6 to 10 leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6 to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, 2 to 10 successively flowered inflorescence that arises in the spring.
