Found in New South Wales, Australia in moist sheltered sites in sparse to dense forests at elevations 800 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a loose rosette of dark green, flat leaves when not blooming and blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
