Common Name Tovey's Pterostylis - In Australia The Mentone Greenhood
Flower Size .6 to .75" [1.5 to 1.8 cm]
Found in Victoria in moist flats along floodplains of small streams in tall open forests at elevations of sealevel to 250 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a basal, scattered rosette of dark green, crinkled leaves that blooms in the Australian fall and winter with an erect, 2 to 8.8" [5 to 22 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
Said to be a natural hybrid between P concinna and P striata
