Found in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania Australia in buttongrass plains, soaks, swampssedgelands and seepage areas at elevations of 6 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of basal, dark green, shiny leaves that blooms in the later spring through early fall on an erect, 2.4 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, fleshy, narrowing towards the base, elongating to 12" [30 cm] when in fruit, single to 7 flowered inflorescence
