Common Name The Clawed Brachypeza

Flower Size 1.8" [4.5 cm]

Found in the Andaman Islands, Malaysia, Java, Borneo, Sumatra, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Sulawesi and the Philippines as a small sized, hot to warm growing, semi-pendulous epiphyte with a rarely branching, monopodial stem carrying leathery, linear to narrowly oblong, unequally bilobed apically, obtuse lobed leaves that blooms on an axillary, pendulous, to 12" [30 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with up to 8, sweetly scented, short lived flowers open at any one time

Similar to and often made a synonym of B pallidum but it differs in it's smaller flowers and different coloration of the lip.
