Found in southwestern India and Sri Lanka in submontane or tropical wet evergreen forests at elevations of 1400 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect short stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf bases carrying oblong-elliptic, acute, conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the mid winter on an axillary, erect to spreading, 2.4" [6 cm] long, successively few, several flowered inflorescence
