Found in South Australia in sparse scrub on rocky outcrops and lesser so in woodlands and alluvial flats at elevations of 100 to 250 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of 5 to 10, basal leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect 4.8 to 8" [12 to 20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
