Found only in SW Cape Province, South Africa in fynbos at elevations of sea level to 90 meters as a slender to fairly robust, medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rather stout, somewhat flexuous stem giving rise to linear leaves and blooms in the earlier spring on an erect, lax, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence.
