Common Name Forrest's Pyrorchis - In Australia The Pink Fire Orchid - Pink Beaks

Flower Size .6" to .8 wide [1.5 to 2 cm wide]

Found in southwest Western Australia in very dense coastal scrub in winter wet swamps amd beside streams as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, in a tight rosette, ground hugging, ovate, leathery, light green leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 4 to 12" [10 to 30 cm] long, 1 to 7 flowered inflorescence carrying very fragrant flowers on hot days
