Common Name Vermeulen's Quekettia [Dutch Botanist and Orchid Enthusiast]

Found in Surinam at elevations around 50 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with laterally compressed pseudobulbs enveloped completely by close fitting, distichous, imbricate, grey sheaths and carrying a single, green with purple spots, compressed, grooved on one side, apical leaf that blooms in the winter on a to .4" [1cm] long, basal througha sheath, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
