Found in the department of Loretto Peru in low, hot rain forests with often flooded trees at elevations around 100 to 120 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by fans of imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying bilaterally compressed, linear, acuminate leavse tathblooms inthe summer and fall on an axillary, threadlike, pedunculate, paniculate, to 3 times the length of the leaves ,each branch many flowered, successively few, many floweredf inflorescence with minute, ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying minute, tubular, white flowers
