Found in Venzuela and Colombia as a miniature epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 6 imbricating, inflated acuminate sheaths carrying a single, apical, ovate-elliptical, leaf that is conduplicate into the apex of the ramicaul and blooms on a 2" [5 cm] long, ventral, single flowered, successive inflorescence holding the flower just above the leaf. SAd to be a synonym of Restrepia nittiorhyncha
