Found in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawia and Zimbabwe in montane forests and on forest margins at elevations of 1500 to 2600 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a long pendent stem carrying numerous, towards the apex, distichous, linear, unequally roundly bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on 1 to several, .6 to 3.2" [1.5 to 8 cm] long, 5 to 13 flowered inflorescence
