Found in Java and the Lesser Sunda Islands at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 6, well above the ground, dark green, red median stripe above, red beneath, lanceolate, gradually narrowing below into the petiuolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, 3.6" [9 cm] long, rachis 1.2" [3 cm] long, pubescent, to 9 flowered inflorescence
