Found in Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 800 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphtye with a spreading to pendulous stem that roots at the base carrying several, ligulate, undulate marginally, obtusely unequally bilobed apically, purple beneath leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on a simple, racemose, to single branched, densely many flowered, 6" [to 15 cm] long inflorescence with ovate, obtuse, amplexicaul, sterile bracts and triangular, acuminate floral bracts.
