Found in southern India and Sri Lanka in submontane and tropical wet, evergreen forests at elevations uo to 1200 meters as a as a small sized, warm to cool growing, monopodial, pendent growing epiphyte with a nonpseudobulbous, zig-zag to flexuous stem carrying alternate, narrowly linear, unequally bilobed apcially, narrowing below into the clasping base leaves that blooms in the later spring and summer on an axillary, 4.8" [12 cm] long, pendulous, many flowered inflorescence with minute, subulate,floral bracts.
