Common Name The Sheath-Covered Spathe Robiquetia - In China Da Ye Ji Shu Fan
Flower Size 1/4" [6 to 7 mm]
Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bangladesh, Assam, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Hainan province of China, Vietnam, Borneo, Java, Moluccas, Sumatra, Sulawesi and the Philippines in evergreen lowland riverine forests and primary montane forests at elevations of 400 to 800 [to 1600]? meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a hanging stem carrying obovate-oblong, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a pendent, 4" [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with narrow, reflexed floral bracts that is up to 6" [15 cm] long, producing a dense elongating head of 1/3" blooms occuring in the fall and winter.
