Found in Fiji and Samoa in montane forests at elevations of 400 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate stem enveloped completely by sheathing leaf bases carrying elliptic to ligulate, unequally roundly bilobed apically leaves taht blooms on a pendent, racemose to weakly branching, 4 to 10.4" [10 to 26 cm] long, each branch .8 to 2.2" [2 to 5.5 cm] long, peduncle short, terete, .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with reflexed, broadly deltoi floral bracts and carrying fleshy flowers.
