Found in Caqueta Colombia at elevations around 800 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with ovate, laterally compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several, imbricate, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong to strap shaped, coriaceous to leathery, acute leaves that blooms on an axillary, racemose, 8 to 12 flowered inflorescence carrying, small tubular flowers
