Found from Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a small sized, epiphyte with cylindrical, ridged, pseudobulbs partially enveloped basally by a few scarious bracts and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute, shortly conduplicate below into the base leaf that blooms on a basal through the dry sheaths, shorter than the leaf, few [4 to 5] flowered inflorescence with close, triangular, acute floral bracts
