Found as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at an elevation of 120 to 300 meters in hot tropical wet forests of Peru with elliptic-oblong, laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs envwloped basally by 5 to 6 distichous, imbricating, conduplicate, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, leathery, elliptic to oblong, shiny light yellow green, obtuse and bilobed apically, taper and become conduplicate into the short, narrow, petiole-like base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, arcuate-pendant, 1.5" [3.75 cm] long, racemose, few flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb through the sheath axils occuring in the late summer and fall.
