Found in Cochabamba Bolivia in cloud forests as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with spaced, brilliant green, complanate, sulcate, ovate to globose pseduobulbs enveloped by 2 pairs of foliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, coriaceous, asymetrical, carinate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an axillary, lateral, curved, 2.8 to 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts
