Common Name Bennet's Roeperocharis [English Botanist 1800's]

Found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia in swamps and damp grasslands at elevations of 2000 to 2500 meters as a large sized, cold growing terrestrial with ellipsoid tubers giving rise to an erect leafy throughout stem carrying smaller below, the middle largest and grading to bract-like leaves above that blooms fall on an erect, 3.6 to 10.8" [9 to 27 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence
