Common Name Armit's Saccolabiopsis - In Australia The Spotted Pitcher Orchid

Flower Size 1 3/8 to 1 1/2" [3.5 to 4 mm]

A miniature sized, monopodial, pendulous, hot growing epiphyte from the lowland forests of Queensland Australia, New Guinea and Java at elevations of sea level to 200 meters in coastal scrubs and dry rainforests with a short pendulous stem carrying, 3 to 6, oblong, narrowly elliptical to narrowly obovate, acute to obtuse leaves that blooms on a pendant, 1.2 to 3.6" [3 to 9 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with many [50] flowers occuring in the spring.
