Found in Taiwan on the Hengchun penninsula in broad leaved forests at elevations of 400 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an abbreviated stem carrying 3 to 5, pale green, obliquely lanceolate, leathery, obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms on a racemose, arching, peduncle generally shorter than the rachis, rachis thickest in the middle, 13 to 19 flowered inflorescence.
Very similar to S viridiflora but this one has a short stem, 3 to 5 leaves, an arching inflorescence and an entire lip.
