Found in southeastern Brazil as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem carrying a few, broadly elliptic, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, channeled, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, mostly enveloped by lanceolate, acute bracts, several to many flowered inflorescence
