Found in Sumatra as a miniature to small sized epiphyte with an elongate stem carrying strap-shaped, fleshy, rigid, very unequally bilobed apically with obtuse lobes and a spike between them leaves that blooms on an axillary, possibly not branched, longer than the leaves, peduncle thin, terete, green spotted with violet, to 5.2" [13 cm] long, with a few short tubular bracts, rachis angular to winged, to 3.6" [9 cm] long, laxly to 18 flowered inflorescence with small, triangular floral bracts..
