Found in Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil in evergreen lowlands and lower montane forests at elevations around 100 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial often found along roadsides with a basal rosette of large, soft, variegated green with white, deciduous leaves and blooms in the fall in Brazil on an erect, 20" [50 cm] long, many flowered, racemose inflorescence
