Found in New Guinea on moss free trees along rivers and creeks in hill country at elevations around 200 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a stem carrying linear-ligulate, obtuse, subbilobate leaves that blooms in the winter on a very short, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence carrying a very fragrant flower.
