Common Name Schaffner's Sarcoglottis [German Botanist 1800's]

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and El Salvador at elevations around 1700 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial herb with basal, green, silver rayed, silver beneath, strongly carinate leaves that bloom in the spring on an erect, reddish brown, glabrous below, white pubescent above, 20" [50 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
