Common Name The Membranaceous Satyrium

Flower Size 3/4" [1.8 cm]

Found southern and eastern Cape Province on sandy flats, grassy hillsides and in woodlands at elevations of 100 to 1600 meters as a small to medium szied, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 2, adpressed to the ground, very wide leaves that abruptly transtition into the sheathing leaves above that blooms in the late winter through spring on an erect, terminal, 1.2 to 8.8" [3 to 22 cm] long, densely 6 to 35 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
