Common Name The Orbicular Satyrium [refers to the leaf shape]

Flower Size

Found in Zaire, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia in wet upland grasslands and in wet areas of brachstegia woodlands at elevations of 1650 to 2200 meters as a cool to cold growing terrestrial with almost globose to ellipsoid-fusiform, densely tomentose tubers giving rise to an erect stem enveloped by 4 to 7 loosely sheathing leaves above and carrying 2, basal, adpressed to the ground, orbicular to reniform leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, [5 to 7 cm] long, fairly densely several to many flowered inflorescence
