Common Name The Outstanding Satyrium

Flower Size 3/4" [2.2 cm]

Found in southern Cape Province, South Africa in sandy soil among coastal scrub at elevations of 3 to 150 meters as a robust, medium to giant sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2, adpressed to the ground, very broad leaves that abruptly transition above into the 7 to 10, papery sheathing leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, 2 to 8.8" [5 to 22 cm] long, densely 10 to 50 flowered inflorecence carrying sweetly pungent scented flowers
