Common Name The Red Flowered Satyrium
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Natal South Africa in damp grasslands as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with and erect stem enveloped by sheaths and carrying 2 basal, erect to spreading, arising after flowering, leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, dense, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, strongly deflexed, lower ones longer than the flowers, upper one shorter.
