Common Name The Slim Petaled Satyrium
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found only in southwestern and southern Cape Province of South Africa in open stony marshy or dry places on coastal forelands at elevations of 50 to 700 meters as a mini-miniature to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with partly erect, leathery, stiff leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, 1.2 to 7.2" [3 to 18 cm] long, 5 to 27 flowered inflorescence with well spaced, soapy smelling flowers
