Found in southwestern Tanzania in grasslands at elevations around 1900 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terretrial with ellipsoid to ovoid tubers giving rise to a slender, stem carrying a single, basal, adpressed to the ground, ovate, cordate, obtuse to shortly acuminate leaf and 4 to 5 sheathing leaves above that blooms on a terminal, erecet, short, to 12 flowered inflorescence with erect at first, becoming deflexed later, ovate-lanceolate, equal or longer than the flowers
CAUTION I have no way of verifying this determination so please use with caution. The collection sheet is from Malawi and it is not listed as occuring there but the type location and this collection are within 100 kilometers or each other so it is quite possible.
