Found in Mozambique, Cape Province and Natal, South Africa near the coast at elevations of sea level to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 1 to 2 spreading near the ground to partly erect, flat to v-shaped in cross-section leaves that blooms in the spring through early fall on an erect, 3 to 27 flowered, densely amassed at the apex inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
