Common Name The Bolivian Scaphyglottis
Flower Size .2" [5 to 6 mm]
Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil in rainforests at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect, clustered, cylindrical speudobulbs envelopd basally by a tubular sheaths and carrying 2, apcial, lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, fasiculate, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence. This species has the habit of repeatedly and branchingly growing a new pseudobulb out of the apex of an older leafless one.
