Found in Costa Rica and Panama in very wet, pluvial and cloud forests at elevations of 400 to 1600 meters as a small sized hot to cool growing epiphyte with superposed, thin, the upper most fat-fusiform stems carrying 2, apical, ligulate to elliptic-ligulate, retuse leaves that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on a terminal, short single flowered inflorescence.
