Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 1700 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with superimposed, branching stems carrying 2, apical, subopposite, coriaceous, oblong linear to oblong, rounded and bilobed apically, basally sessile leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence arising from the apex of the stem and a few imbricating sheaths
