Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 900 to 1750 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with cylindrical pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 3, obtuse sheaths and carrying 2, apical, linear-ligulate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on a terminal, suberect, 1.6" [4 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence '
