Common Name The Baudo Scaphyglottis [refers to the Serrania del Baudo in Choco department of Colombia]

Found in Choco department of Colombia in humid to wet forest or cloud forest without elevational data as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome and narrowly cylindrical or stipitate, erect, thickened pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, linear to linear-ligulate, conduplicate, apically obtuse and emarginate leaves that blooms in the mid to late winter on a fasiculate, single flowered inflorescence
"This is an easily distinguihable species in the S fusiformis. S baudoana is distinguished by a sessile, ecallose lip and the sepals and petals that are nuch wider than in S fusiformis." Szlach. & Kolan. 2013
