Found in Peru?, Colombia and Venezuela, at elevations of 2000 to 2800 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial with pendant to ascending psuedobulbs enveloped when in youth by evanscent, coriaceous below and herbaceous above sheaths and carrying 2, apical, coricaeous, erect to patent, linear to linear-oblong, bilobed apically, leaves that blooms on a veryshort, fasciculate, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
