Common Name The Honduran Scaphyglottis
Flower Size .5" [1.25 cm]
Found from Oaxaca state of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in scattered oak woods or on legumes at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a small sized, often pendent growing epiphyte with elongate-fusiform, subterete, 7 to 8 noded, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, pendulous, distichous, linear, acuimnate, bilobed apically, carinate apiculate beneath leaves that blooms in the winter on 1 to 2, terminal or at the nodes on stem, 1 to 3.2" [2.5 to 8 cm] long, filiform, terete, pendulous to arching racemose, 1 to 10, simultaneous flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate, apicaulate, carinate, conduplicate, papery, shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
