Common Name The Small-Flowered Scaphyglottis
Flower Size .2" [5 mm]
Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 50 to 1250 meters as a medium to just large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte and occasional terrestrial with a terete, slender-fusiform, constricted at the nodes stem enveloped basally by imbricating, scarious, tubular sheaths and carrying 2 apical erect, linear to linear-lanceolate, acuminate and obliquely bidentate apically leaves that blooms in the late spring through fall on a glomerate, arising at the nodes, several to numerous flowered inflorescence carrying almost sessile, successive, minute flowers.
