Found in Cochabamba Bolivia in wet montane forest in shrubs amonst trees at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with small pseudobulbs enveloped basally by imbricate, distichous, nonfoliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, elliptic, acuminate, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, pendulous, racemose, basal, peduncle slender, to 4.8" [12 cm] long, single ?flowered inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and carrying yellow flowers with petals with red spots.
